4. Financial Hardship Policy

St Francis Hockey Club Financial Hardship Policy

St Francis Hockey Club is funded by players registration and match fees together with funds raised by club events.

However the Hockey Club appreciates that there are times when players will encounter difficulties paying registration and match fees and will if possible provide some financial assistance to these players.

A fund has been set aside for this within the Hockey Club accounts however this money can be used for other purposes if the club committee deems necessary. The level of financial support for any player will be determined on a case by case basis.

Where financial support is provided the Hockey Club will not seek repayment of the money provided to any player but would normally discuss what level of contribution towards playing costs a player suffering financial hardship could make.

Any player concerned about their ability to pay their registration and/or match fees should discuss this with their Team Captain in the first instance who will then refer to the Hockey Club Treasurer to establish if any payment arrangements can be made to help the player. If not the matter will be referred to the Hockey Club Committee who will decide if support can be provided from the Hardship Fund.
